Tete wins IBF Title Eliminator
Zolani Tete out-pointed Richard Garcia over 12 rounds in an IBF flyweight title eliminator at the Nasrec Indoor Arena, Johannesburg on Friday night.
South African, Tete was judges a clear winner over Garcia from the Philippines on all three judges cards by scores of 118-110 twice and 118-108. The fight was not exactly a classic but it the win does qualify Tete a crack at fellow South African Moruti Mthalane.
Unbeaten Tete improves to 13-0-(11), while Garcia falls to 20-10-1-(5).
