European welterweight champion Matthew Hatton (40-4-2, 15 KOs) defeated former WBA interim world champion Yuriy Nuzhnenko (30-2-1, 14 KOs) by unanimous decision on Friday night at the Bolton Arena in Bolton, England. Nuzhnenko who was the favorite to win the fight, knocked down Hatton in round one. Hatton overcame the setback to win by scores of 117-110, 116-111, 116-111.
Middleweight Martin Murray (20-0, 7 KOs) won a twelve round decision over Peter Mitrevski Jr (23-7-1, 11 KOs) to win the vacant Commonwealth belt. Scores were 120-109, 120-108, 120-109.
Undefeated super bantamweight Scott Quigg (20-0, 13 KOs) knocked out Gavin Reid (6-7-1, 3 KOs)
