East Londoner Sam Webb will defend his British light-middleweight title against Martin Concepcion on October 16.
The 29-year-old took the title in March with a shock points victory over trash-talking Anthony Small in Dagenham.
It was Webb’s first challenge for a title and he now faces one of the hardest punchers in the 11st division.
However, Conception is also vulnerable having lost seven times in 24 outings, including in the first round of Prizefighter earlier this year.
Promoter Frank Maloney said: “There was criticism that Sam’s win over Small lacked excitement, but that wasn’t his fault.
“He will not have to go looking for Martin and we could have a small hall classic on the night.”
The fight will take place in London although a venue has still to be arranged.
