1. JMM-Most talented fighter in the division
2. Katsidis-Most exciting fighter in the division but technically limited
3. Soto-Some reason he often seems to get over looked, talented, busy, good power, good work rate, perhaps 135 isn’t great for him though its better than 130
4. Vazquez-who is criminally under-rated, has only suffered losses at other weights (to Saul Alvarez and Timothy Bradley no less), great movement, intelligent fighter, who does everything a typical mexican fighter doesn’t and out boxes power punchers (Kim and Prescott)
5. Acosta-Not beaten in years, though he’s getting on he seems to be maturing like a fine wine with a couple of great wins recently.
Notables:
Jorge Linares-I’d like to see what he can do in the future, but sadly he’s got some serious rebuilding to do
John Murray-Seriously needs to step it up in terms of comepetition but is on cruise control at the moment with fights that he shouldn’t be having.
Ali Funeka-Talented, physically freakish, solid workrate, very decent power, been very unlucky in recent years RE opponents and decisions
Additionally-
Ji Hoon Kim-I love to watch the South Korean banger and a fight between him and Katsidis is my dream fight for next year. It wouldn’t be a competetive bout, but it would be intense aggression and we’d see no defence at all.

1. Juan Manuel Marquez (Lineal/WBA super/WBO/RING)
2. Michael Katsidis (WBO interim)
3. Miguel Acosta (WBA)
4. Humberto Soto (WBC)
5. Miguel Vazquez (IBF)
#1 is clear, 2-5 could really be shuffled in anyway. runner up is either Rios or Murray. Funeka is not listed because I’m not part of his pity party. Solid division right now.

RIP Edwin Valero; Could have been some insane fights between him and other guys in the division.
JMM; streets ahead.
Soto; Closest match in terms of ability.
Katsidis; Suffered a few losses, in an otherwise eventful and colourful career.
Murray; Unbeaten, but relatively unchallenged.
Guerrero; Nice record, but a couple of gifts along the way.
