Here are the votes as submitted by the members.

1. JuanMa- Exciting champion with a lot of exciting match ups coming

2. Chris John- Long reigning- who turned into the fragile man
3. Celestino Caballero- avoided and believe that he could beat a lot of the champions now
4. Yuriokous Gamboa- Show lots of potential at times and doesnt at other, Ready for the show down
5. Daniel Ponce De Leon- Only lost to the best

yes! the one i’ve been waiting for, my favourite division

1.) Yuriorkis Gamboa – dual world title holder and also slight bias as he’s my favourite fighter. Explosive, powerful, quick, risky, all the attributes that make an exciting and world class fighter. Decent wins on the record already and a certain future P4P fighter

2.) Juanma Lopez – not much seperating him and Gamboa apart from Juanma’s one world title to Gamboa’s two, Juanma is similar to Gamboa, powerful, fairly quick, very good technically and also risky. Both future P4P fighters

3.) Rafael Marquez – Younger brother of another all time great, Juan Manuel Marquez. Rafael is 100% a future hall of famer, with a memorable four fights against Israel Vazquez being the highlights of his career. He is very powerful, sharp and has killer instinct which is second to none. Age isn’t on his side and with his next fight against Juanma Lopez, it remains to be seen whether this will be the passing of the torch or one last hurrah

4.) Chris John – reigned at the division for some time but as opposition has been weak and because i believe Marquez is better, and Juanma and Gamboa are, and will be a lot better than him, i place him at fourth. Another world title holder.

5.) Celestino Caballero – Personally on ability i would pace Caballero at third as i believe he has the beating of John. Avoided like the plague and a style nightmare, his engine will cause problems to the best of fighters. A stoppage loss to Rojas leaves a question mark hanging over his head though about whether he can cut it with the very best. Nonetheless a very exciting fighter to watch.

Honourable mentions – Daniel Ponce de Leon and Elio Rojas – DPDL only just missing out with some good names on the record but has fallen short both times against other fighters in the top five (Juanma and Caballero)

Rojas has a poor record and the only thing keeping him near the top is his world title.

1. Y Gamboa – fast, explosive, powerful and exciting. what more could a boxing fan ask for

2. JM Lopez – another who’s fast, and powerful. Only second to Gamboa because I think Gamboa would beat him
3. C John – hes been at the top of the featherweights for a long time. Win over Marquez as well
4. D Ponce De Leon – how he doesn’t hold a world title mystifies me. Not a long way behind the top 3
5. E. Rojas – good quality operator, doubt anybody outside of the top 4 could beat him

N.B Celestino Caballero misses out because his best days are behind him and at 122lbs. He’s gonna struggle at featherweight alongside Gamboa, Lopez et al.

1. Chris John (WBA)

2. Juan Manuel Lopez (WBO)
3. Yuriorkis Gamboa (IBF, WBA Regular)
4. Daniel Ponce De Leon
5. Elio Rojas (WBC)

i took caballero out early because his next fight isn’t at feather (would have been #3). gamboa seems too high at number #3, hes about equal with ponce de leon. hot division.
