Purse bids for a bout between Tyson Fury and Dereck Chisora will take place in April, potentially setting up a bout between the two. Fury called out Chisora after beating his last opponent, Marcelo Nascimento, in February by a 5th round knockout, accusing the Londoner of being scared since he walked out of the arena as soon as Fury got his win.
Chisora has been unfortunate to have his opportunity against WBA and WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko called off twice due to, what was an alleged stomach injury, however it has raised the eye brows of many fans who think that was a smoke screen for Klitschko and David Haye to finally get their bout on. With Chisora’s chance at the heavyweight championship gone for now, his only choice is to defend his British and Commonwealth titles, and a defense against Fury would be quite lucrative for him, given the hype over the 6’9 Lancashire boxer.
