Jones Jr to return with fight against Lebedev

Former light-heavyweight champion, Roy Jones Jr has signed to fight Russian Denis Lebedev on May 22nd in Moscow.

Jones only fought once last year, a mundane points loss to Bernard Hopkins in April at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, a bout that struggled to sell tickets. Before that, he was knocked out in the first round against Danny Green in Australia in December of 2009.

At 42, one does beg Jones to retire at this point, having lost two of his last four bouts, however, it seems he has become a victim of the sport, attempting to regain the former glory that he once captured in his prime.

At this point, Lebedev, with a record of only one defeat in 22 fights, may have all that it takes to beat Jones Jr, and it would come as no surprise to anybody if he claims a victory, as sad as that may be.
