International Boxing Union Makes History in Atlanta, Georgia, USA !

(Atlanta, Georgia) (23 March 2011)- Don “Moose” Lewis, Chairman of the International Boxing Union, known as "the “IBU" is pleased to announce “History in Atlanta” on the fight card “Who Wants To Be A Champion?” taking place 13 May 2011 at the world famous CompoundATL.com with four (4) World Championship titles at stake. The IBU and its female sanctioning body the WIBC-Women’s International Boxing Council are pleased to be working with the promoter “Big Time Fights Promotions” led by newcomer J.L. Slayton and Art “The Professor” Wampler, who also is the Matchmaker of record. Featured thus far is the IBU World Cruiserweight title with former World Champion Bobby “The Celtic Warrior” Gunn, the WIBC World Strawweight title with five (5)time World Champion Krisztina Belinszky, and WIBC World Featherweight title with Thaddine “The Native Warrior” Swift Eagle. States Mr. Lewis, “It has been a life long dream of mine to bring World Championship boxing to Atlanta and prove to all the people who claim “Atlanta is not a fight town.” wrong. It has been a pleasure to be able to work with such an energetic and enthusiastic promoter as well as the Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission. There has not been a World Championship fought here since Evander Holyfield in 1998 and there is no doubt the good people of my hometown are anxious to see this historic card in a venue like CompoundATL-the entertainment mecca of the city. Imagine a fight card of this magnitude being available to only 600 in the audience and another 600 on state of the art video screens. This truly will be the place to be on Friday, May 13.”
