Busy Thursday In Puerto Rico For WBO Champ Juanma Lopez

Unbeaten WBO featherweight champion Juan Manuel “Juanma” Lopez had a busy Thursday, spending time with his promoter, Bob Arum, and the Mayor of Bayamon, Ramon Luis Rivera, at the Mayor’s Office, and then working out at Jose “Cheo” Aponte Torres Gym in Caguas, Puerto Rico. His trainers are Alex Caraballa (dark shirt) and Louis Gonzalez (light shirt).

In this Saturday‘s main event at Ruben Rodriguez Coliseo in Bayamon on SHOWTIME® (10:30 p.m. ET/PT, delayed on the West Coast), the popular, exciting Puerto Rican will defend his WBO 126-pound belt against former IBF champion Orlando Salido of Mexico.

In the co-feature on SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING, undefeated Luis Cruz of Puerto Rico faces Mexico’s world-ranked Martin “El Brochas’’ Honorio in a 10-round junior lightweight bout.
