Andy Lee Fight to be Broadcast on NESportsTV.com

Irish middleweight contender Andy Lee’ return to the ring on May 18 against respectable veteran Alex Bunema at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois, will be broadcast on www.NESportsTV.com online PPV for just $12.99.

Lee (25-1, 19 KO’s), a 2004 Olympian for his native Ireland, is trained by the legendary Emanuel Steward and is coming off a career-best win over the previously undefeated Craig McEwan in his HBO debut in March. Not wanting to sit around and wait for a TV date, Lee will face Bunema (31-7-2, 17 KO’s) in a 10-round battle for the NABF and NABA Middleweight Championships.

Bunema, is no pushover. He holds victories over former world champions Roman Karmazin and Vince Phillips. He also fought reigning middleweight champion Sergio Martinez in 2008 in a bout broadcast on HBO. Lee has been discussed as a potential challenger for Martinez’s middleweight title in the near future and Bunema will be the first common opponent amongst Martinez and Lee.

Also featured on this special www.NESportsTV.com online PPV will be Irish junior middleweight Henry Coyle (14-2, 11 KO’s) against an opponent to be announced.

On the undercard will be Ghana native Yakubu Amidu (18-2-1, 16 KO’s) vs. TBA in a lightweight fight and undefeated Chicago-based heavyweight David Latoria (8-0, 4 KO’s) will fight Michigan’s Phillp Jewel (4-6-1, 3 KO’s). In junior welterweight action, George Esho (0-1) takes on Airway Heights, Washington’s Nalo Leal (3-10-1). The undefeated middleweight Ramon Valenzuela Jr. (4-0, 1 KO) will take on an opponent to be announced. Chicago’s Russell Fiore (4-1-1, 4 KO’s) takes on Cleveland’s Kevin Walker (0-0, 1 No Contest) in a junior welterweight fight. Also, heavyweight Felix Abner (2-2, 2 KO’s) is scheduled for action vs. TBA.

All of these fights will air internationally at a time to be announced on the night of May 18 and again on May 19 at a time more suited to time zones in Ireland.
