Hi Callum, on behalf of RingNews24.com and our readers, thank you for taking the time to talk to us. As well as our own, we have included questions provided by fans on the RingNews Forum.

Ringnews24.com: How long did you box as an amatuer for Scotland and were you ever offered the chance at any stage to represent England in the Amatuers ?

Callum Johnson: I boxed for Scotland for over 5 years as an amatuer, I was never called up to box for England but I was allways part of the Scotland squad.

Ringnews24.com: Since turning professional your record now stands at 3-0, how do you feel your careers coming along so far?

Callum Johnson: Yer it’s coming along fine 3 fights and 3 wins, it’s all you can do so I’m pretty happy with that. 

Ringnews24.com: Naseem Hamed has spoken about your power. Do you feel you are getting stronger as you develop as a professional boxer?

Callum Johnson: I feel I’m improving all the time at Joe Gallaghers gym in Manchester. I’m training with Joe and I’m around all the other lads.

Ringnews24.com: What side of your game have you worked on the most since turning pro professtional?

Callum Johnson: I’ve been working on conditioning and adding alot more rounds into sparring.

Ringnews24.com: You were fighting on the undercard of the Echo Arena event in Liverpool on 16th July which featured a whole host of British boxing talent. It must be an exciting prospect to be fighting on a card with such great British talent like Burns, Cook, Bellew, McKenzie, Gavin etc?

Callum Johnson: It was a great pleasure to fight on such a big card with so many talented fighters like you mentioned.

Ringnews24.com: Do you have any short term goals or long term goals that you would like to acheive and have you set yourself a timescale on your goals?

Callum Johnson: My short term goals are to keep winning and build my way up the domestic title scence. My long term goals are to get as far in the sport as I possibly can, hopefully reaching the world stage.

Ringnews24.com: Do you like watching boxing when you’re at home and if so, which boxers do you like watching most?

Callum Johnson: I like to watch any boxers to be honest, I like Friday/Saturday Fight Nights.

Ringnews24.com: What other sports do you follow or take part in?

Callum Johnson: I folllow football and support Manchester Utd, I don’t really take part in other sport inparticular,but i do like to play all kinds of sports.

Ringnews24.com: The World Cup draw is soon, lets say Scotland get drawn against England which team will you be cheering on?

Callum Johnson: Erm my first team in the World Cup would be England, Then after that I would be supporting Scotland 110%.
