As the mouth watering return to the ring of Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather creeps ever closer, UK fans will be able to catch up with the recent comings and goings of the Mayweather clan with a 1 hour special airing on 5USA.

The acclaimed 24/7 series is produced by HBO and allows fans to follow the preparations of both fighters ahead of the September 17th fight. Floyd Mayweather Jr will be making his 5th appearance on 24/7 after first appearing ahead of his 2007 showdown with Oscar De La Hoya.

Sharing the spotlight is WBC Welterweight champion ‘Vicious’ Victor Ortiz. Ortiz has risen to the top of his game despite an upbringing that would have toppled lesser men. Abandoned by his mother at age 7 to an alcoholic father, Ortiz turned to boxing, and despite a spell as a drug dealer has turned his life around to become champion of the world. His story outside of the ring promises to be both touching and inspirational.

The first three episodes of 24/7: Mayweather vs Ortiz will be shown in a special 1 hour programme on 5 USA at midnight on Friday 16th September before the 4th and final episode is premiered exclusively on Primetime in the build up to the Mayweather vs Ortiz Pay-Per-View spectacular.

The main event is backed up by an unrivalled undercard featuring another 2 World title fights. Mexican sensation Saul Alvarez will be defending his WBC Light Middleweight title against Alfonso Gomez live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles and Erik Morales aims to add another world title to his record of 7 titles in 5 weight classes by capturing the vacant WBC Light Welterweight title against Lucas Matthysse. Also fighting on the Pay Per View are unbeaten Light Welterweight Jessie Vargas and Josesito Lopez making this the boxing event of the year!

British fighter Anthony Crolla will be fighting the Mexican Pipino Cuevas Jr in a contest to be shown Free To View on Primetime in the lead in to the Pay Per View broadcast.
