British Lightweight Champion Anthony Crolla and challenger Willie Limond weighed in today for their big fight tomorrow night at the Ravenscraig Regional Sports Centre in Motherwell.
The fight will televised live and exclusive on BoxNation (Sky Platform Ch. 456).
Crolla was spot-on the lightweight limit of 9st 9lbs, while challenger Limond weighed in slightly under at 9st 8lb 12oz.
Manchester ace Crolla said, “I’ve hit the weight bang-on and now I can’t wait for tomorrow night. I’ve trained the hardest I’ve ever trained for this fight because Limond is good, dangerous, fighter and I’m not underestimating him. The fans’ are in for a great fight and then afterwards we’ll shake hands and maybe have a good drink!”
Limond, from Glasgow, said, “It’s all down to tomorrow night now and the best man is going to win. Crolla’s the champion and I’ve got to take that title from him. We’re putting friendship aside for 36 minutes and it’s going to be a good fight between two of the best in the division.
Matthew Hall and Kris Carslaw also weighed-in for their Official Eliminator for the British Light-Middleweight Championship. Manchester’s Hall came in at 10st 13lb 12oz and Paisley’s Carslaw weighed 10st 13lb 8oz.
