Chisora takes on Klitschko for the World Title – Live on Boxnation

Dereck Chisora is fired up for his WBC World Heavyweight title shot and has promised to bring down the Iron Curtain of heavyweight boxing by beating Vitali Klitschko.

The Londoner, who controversially lost his European Heavyweight title fight last month in Finland, takes on Klitschko at the Olympiahalle Munich in Germany on Saturday 18th February, televised live and exclusive in the UK on BoxNation (Sky Ch. 456, Virgin 546).

Vitali and his younger brother Wladimir – who hold’s the WBA Super, WBO and IBF titles – have dominated the division in recent years and Del Boy wants to be the wind of change.

“The Klitschko brothers have ruled for too long and it’s now time to start smashing down the Iron Curtain of heavyweight boxing, starting with Vitali,” said Chisora.

“Wladimir’s pulled out of fighting me twice complaining of injuries so now his big brother is going to pay for all the messing around he’s caused me,”

“Everything happens for a reason and I know that it’s my destiny to beat Klitschko in Germany on February 18,”

“After my experience in Finland and being robbed of the European title, I know that when I go to Germany I’ve got to knock him out to win and that’s what I’m going to do,”

“It’s my dream to win the title that my idol Muhammad Ali once held along with the other greats like Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Lennox Lewis and Larry Holmes, and I will do it.”

Chisora’s promoter Frank Warren said, “It’s going to be tough for Dereck, but we’ve now seen what he can do when he’s trained right, his weight is good, and he’s up for the challenge as he did against Helenius who is the third best heavyweight in the world.”

“I’m delighted that the fans will be able to see Dereck’s fight live in the UK on BoxNation, which has a great line up of fights that includes Nathan Cleverly’s WBO World Light-Heavyweigh title defence a week later and then Ricky Burns defends his Interim WBO World Lightweight title on Saturday 10th March.”
