After almost a year away from boxing and with new trainer Roberto Garcia working his corner, former WBA, WBO Middleweight champion Kelly ‘The Ghost’ Pavlik made quick work of Aaron ‘Jedi’ Jaco. Fighting at the Illusions Theatre at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday night Pavlik registered a second round TKO.
‘The Ghost’ looked composed, calm and sharp in the opening round and floored Jaco (15-3, 5 KOs) with a left hook. In the second it was a quick, powerful left hook that dropped the man from Sarasota, Florida and the referee deemed him in no fit state to continue.
The bout took place in the light heavyweight division and Pavlik is a Great addition. He looked good against Jaco but tougher challenges lie ahead.
Pavlik’s record improves to an impressive 38-2, 33 KOs.
