WBA featherweight champion, Chris John has said that his training for his sixteenth title defence against Shoji Kimura is almost complete.
“After grueling physical training, my focus is now on the technical aspects of my fight against Kimura,” John said. “I’m still doing physical exercises, but not as hard as in the first week . I can say that I am 70 percent ready.
“I’ve been sparring with two boxers at the gym. One of them is Matt Garlett, to work on strategies for my next bout. In Singapore I will adapt to the atmosphere and the situation there, so when the day comes I’ll be 100 percent ready to knock out Kimura.”
