Three cruiserweights are looking to make statements at the home of British boxing next Sunday

In January, Leon Williams suffered a shock last round defeat in the defence of his British cruiserweight title. ‘Team Solid’, regular visitors to Left Jab’s shows, will be returning to York Hall in numbers to back Leon in his comeback fight and support him in his bid to regain the British title.

Cruiserweight Menay Edwards, (won 7 lost 1) will be looking to impress against unbeaten Lawrence Bennett – his aim is to earn the right for a tilt at the Southern Area title later this year.

A third cruiser, Wadi ‘The Macho Man’ Camacho, fought on Miranda Carter’s ‘Seize The Day’ show in March and dispatched his opponent in the second round. He will be looking to demonstrate his punching power again on Sunday.

Next Sunday’s bout between Tyler Goodjohn and Danny Connor for the vacant British Masters Welterweight title is not the first time the fighters have met. In March 2011 Goodjohn won a 58-56 victory. Since then ‘Cassius’ Connor has racked up up five top class wins out of six outings. ‘Tornado’ Tyler has fought three times since, winning convincingly last time out, which he need to do in order to avenge the memory of his knockout loss to Vinny Woolford. It is an intriguing matchup.

Tickets available here – no booking fees. Tickets ordered after midnight on Wednesday will be held for collection at the venue from 2pm on Sunday.
