Jesse Hart (1-0) vs. Steven Chadwick (0-3) – 4 Rounds Super Middleweight
Former Amateur standout Jesse ‘Hard Work” Hart made “Easy Work” of his opponent Chadwick. Hart just over powered and out gunned Chadwick throughout the 1st round dropping him twice before his corner threw in the towel. Jesse Hart moved to (2-0) with his 2nd 1st round KO at the 2:38 mark.
Dan Biddle (8-2) vs. Pedro Martinez (6-5) – 6 Rounds Cruiserweight
This was a VERY fun 6 rounds to watch. Both Biddle and Martinez left it in the ring. Martinez controlled the first 3 rounds seemingly landing his overhand right at will. At the end of the 3rd Biddle seemed to be completely drained but the wasn’t the case. With a minute or so left in the 4th Round, Biddle hurt Martinez and poured punches on him. Biddle controlled the 5th holding off the seemingly drained Martinez peppering him with punches. Finally the 6th Round showed both men fighting for a W. Though some may have thought the round could have went either way. I favored the power punches land by Martinez. Even though my scored read 58-56 Martinez the judges disagreed scoring the fight 58-56 x 2 and 57-57 for your winner by Majority Decision Dan Biddle. Biddle moves to (9-2) while Martinez drops to (6-6)
Osnel Charles (9-3) vs. Rafael Luna (4-5-1) – 6 Rounds Lightweight
Charles and Luna went to war over 6 rounds. Every round was filled with back and forth action. Throughout the Charles showed superior footwork, ability, and speed though it didn’t seem enough at times to derail the hard nosed Luna. What Luna lacked in skill he made up with heart and determination. Even though I scored the fight 58-56 Charles I do not argue with the any of the judges scorecards 58-56 Charles, 58-56 Luna, and 57-57 for the result of a Draw. Hopefully promoter J Russell Peltz will arrange a rematch for his next card!
Lavarn Harvell (11-0) vs. Mojeed Okedara (9-5) – 6 Rounds Light Heavyweight
“Baby Bowe” made short work of his opponent Okedara. Harvell sent Okedara to the canvas 2 times in the first round. After Okedara rose from the canvas a 2nd time, Harvell shook him with a powerful right hand causing the referee Randy Nuemann to call a halt to the action at the 2:42 mark of the 1st round. Harvell moves to (12-0) while Okedara drops to (9-6).
Naim Nelson (6-0) vs. Esteban Rodriguez (5-1-1)
Nelson once again used his speed, accuracy, and ring generalship to win an impressive workman like decision against the overmatched but game Rodriguez. The judges scored the fight 59-55 x 2 & 60-54 in favor of Nelson, by Unanimous Decision, who moves to (7-0) while Rodriguez drops to (5-2-1). I scored the fight 59-55 in favor of Nelson
Patrick Majewski (18-1) vs. Christopher Fitzpatrick (15-1) – 10 Rounds for the NABF Middleweight Title
There was solid action between Fitzpatrick and Majewski through the first 5 rounds. During round 2, Fitzpatrick suffered a cut that kept becoming worse as the fight went on. Finally after the 5th round the referee called a stop to the action. Though Fitzpatrick (15-2) believes he could have kept fighting, the result is TKO 6 in favor of new NABF Middleweight Champion Patrick Majewski (19-1).
