Adam Battle and Nathan Graham will be battling it out over 10 rounds for the International Masters Light Middleweight belt. As an amateur Adam Battle became a Southern Counties champion. In his debut fight he outclassed Danny Connor – who now has the Southern Area light-welter belt. Nathan Graham has just had a late call-up for a Southern Area title shot, which was adjudged a draw but which most observers scored his way. ‘De Lick’ is more experienced, has gone ten rounds, and is the naturally heavier man with a height advantage. Is Adam being thrust into a title fight too early? Both of the boxers’ managers and trainers are confident that their man is the one in great shape and the one that will win.
The supporting card includes Menay Edwards, George Jupp and Brett O’Callaghan all fighting out of the TRAD TKO gym. Rising up the ranks is Bobby George. Areti Mastrodouka is back, flying the flag for women’s boxing. Elvis Makoda and Frankie Monkhouse both fight at York Hall for the first time. And we have two debuts: Mike Evans with a strong boxing pedigree, and Eren Arif, who is one of my new signings.
Last but not least we see the return of Matt McCarthy, whose supporters almost lifted the roof on his victorious debut.
Expect a prompt start – there’s a lot of action to get through!
