Shayne Singleton vs Tyrone Nurse to take place on September 20

Dave Coldwell is delighted to announce that the rescheduled English light-welterweight fight between Shayne Singleton and Tyrone Nurse will take place at the start of the new season on September 20th at Manchester Bowlers Centre. The talented pair were set to do battle at the beginning of June but that meeting was scuppered after Singleton suffered a hand injury in training.

Providing support to the main event will be Hosea Burton, who rose to the occasion last time out by sensationally stopping Jahmeene Smyle in the opening round. Burton’s promise has been spoken of for long periods within boxing circles and it now seems that early predictions about his potential are beginning to be confirmed.

Joining Burton on what will be a stacked undercard are a number of hot prospects continuing their ring education. Liam Conroy and Liam Hanrahan will both be looking to impress their huge armies of support and massive Man City supporter, Danny Benson, has his first outing following a successful amateur career that saw the Etihad Stadium regular collect multiple honours. Coldwell is expecting an action-packed evening.

“Coldwell Boxing is on a rich run of form with Manchester at the moment and the shows we’re putting on there are receiving great reactions every single time. Singleton and Nurse are two hungry fighters who have big ambitions in this sport so they’ll be putting it all on the line for future opportunities. Underneath that is a number of fighters who I believe all have excellent careers ahead of them so it’s up to them to leave a lasting impression on what I’m sure will be a vocal audience. Fight nights in Manchester are great and I’m really looking forward to another one.”
