Adrien Broner won a Split decision against Paul Malignaggi in arguably his toughest challenge to date. Immediately after the fight Adrien caught up with Showtime and had the following to say
“People are always saying that I pick and choose my opponents. I just fight whoever is put in front of me. So, I’ll let the fans choose my next opponent. I’ll fight anybody. I’ll let the fans decide my next opponent. We’ll see who they want me to fight,”
When pressed at the post press conference if any fighters were excluded from the fans list Adrien added “Of course there is one [Mayweather]”

Ring Magazine Fans Picks
Adrien Broner announced that he would let the fans decide who he fights next after the reigning WBC lightweight beltholder lifted Paul Malignaggi’s WBA 147-pound title via split decision on Saturday. The Ring Magazine fans have spoken and they want Broner to face hard-punching No. 1 junior welterweight contender Lucas Matthysse next, according to a RingTV.com poll.
Here are the Ring Magazine results:
Lucas Martin Matthysse 45.2%
Marcos Maidana 27.1%
Danny Garcia 12.3%
Robert Guerrero and Kell Brook, plus the winners of the July 27 Andre Berto-Jesus Soto Karass and Keith Thurman-Diego Chaves fights, each received less than 10 percent of the votes.
Editors Note: Floyd Mayweather, Amir Khan and Devon Alexander were not included in the poll because they have fall and winter fights scheduled.
