Both fighters are good heavyweights and Povetkin can pose a threat to Klitschko, he has a lot of power and likes to throw a lot of punches which could cause some problems for Klitschko, as you can see Povetkin is unbeaten in his 26 fights, he almost tasted defeat to Marco Huck in a majority decision, Roach is set to be his trainer for fight, someone who has coached alongside some of the best fighters in the world such as Pacquiao, Roach has a lot of experience and I’m sure he will get the best out of Povetkin for this upcoming bout. There is only one problem with Povetkin, he has little experience versus top fighters in the Heavyweight division, this could deem to be a problem for him in this bout, experience is key in these sorts of bouts and Klitschko is certainly has a lot of experience in his long career.

Klitschko is one of the most recognisable names in the Heavyweight division and has been thrown among some of the best ever heavyweight boxers and rightly so, Klitschko is in my opinion the best fighter in the heavyweight division at this moment and time, he has ruled the weightclass for some years now and honestly I cannot see anyone beating him, Povetkin has that chance with his power but the only problem is breaking through the solid defence of Klitschko’s, Povetkin needs to get him on the ropes and throw punches to cause any issues otherwise Klitschko will control the ring and use his height and knock him back with the jab whenever Povetkin tries to get inside to throw. So, if Povetkin has any chance of winning this fight, he will need to trouble Klitschko from the start and work hard, throwing a lot of punches to put the pressure on Klitschko and let Klitschko know he wants to be in control.

TBCB Prediction:

TBCB predicted that Povetkin would stop Klitschko in round 5 by KO. A bold prediction but if Povetkin lands his punches with power it could happen, in my opinion KO is the only way Povetkin stand’s any chance of winning as there’s no way he will win on decision.

My Prediction:

I predict it to go all 12 rounds or a late KO/TKO in favour of Wladimir Klitschko, his defence will deem too good to break and his height and reach advantage will work in his favour.
