Stevenson and Cloud make early weight

World Boxing Council (WBC), The Ring Magazine and linear world light heavyweight champion, Adonis “Superman” Stevenson (21-1-0, 18 KOs), as well as his opponent for his first title defense on September 28, former International Boxing Federation (IBF) light heavyweight champion, Tavoris “Thunder” Cloud (24-1-0, 19 KOs), recently submitted to the WBC regulatory weigh in.

At his training camp in Traverse City, Michigan, Stevenson tipped the scales at 186 pounds, while Cloud weighed in at 188 pounds at his Florida training camp. Both fighters were below the 193-pound mark permitted by sanctioning body rules.

The next mandatory weigh in will be held seven days prior to their Sept. 28 fight at the Belle Centre in Montreal with the weight limit at 184 pounds.
