Ringnews24.com: You are currently 4-6-1, what are your thoughts on how your career is progressing so far?
I’m happy with my career so far I have losses but have learnt from each one. I always fight at a good level and I getting better with each fight.
Ringnews24.com: Who would you say has been your toughest opponent so far?
My toughest opponent to date would have to be Adam Little, but I was a novice pro back then. I would like to see how I would fair up against him now.
Ringnews24.com: You are currently in the middle of a training camp to prepare for Rhys Pagan, could you tell us a little about your camp?
I wouldn’t say I’m in a camp, because I’m always in the gym and ready to fight any time, I was scheduled to fight on the Haye vs Fury undercard but as we all know Haye withdrew with the cut so that was a big blow.
Ringnews24.com: Who have you been sparring in preparation for Rhys Pagan?
In our gym there’s a lot of different types of sparring partners so we are ready for any style, and I always prepare well as I fight any time anywhere.
Ringnews24.com: Many fighters are scared to travel, this will be your third fight outside of England, what made you pick this fight?
Some fighters have to travel to get fights and Scotland isn’t my preferred location because its a known fact that u don’t win a decision, it has to be a KO. What ever my manager gets me I take because that’s what I train hard for to fight.
Ringnews24.com: Have you saw much footage of Rhys Pagan and what do you think of him as a fighter?
I haven’t seen any footage of Pagan and all I can say is I will be ready on the night for what ever he’s got I just hope the judges are fair.
Ringnews24.com: You said you want fair judges in Scotland, do you feel as if you been on the end of poor judging in Scotland before?
Yes defo, I thought I beat Craig Kelly and I thought It was closer than the judges had it against John Thain. They gave me a round in both fights which I thought was unfair.
Ringnews24.com Who is going to be in your corner on the night? and what do they bring to Team Jenkinson?
Alex Matvienko is my trainer and will do the corner. We have a good bond and understand each other well, we have done a lot of work together and I will be with him till I retire.
Ringnews24.com: What has been the highlight of your boxing career so far?
The highlight of my career is winning 2 International Masters Titles above my natural weight lightmiddle and middle.
Ringnews24.com: Message for the fans?
