Ringnews24.com: What age did you start boxing and what inspired you to become a fighter?
I started boxing when I was 11, because boxing has always played a big part in my family. Especially to my dad and my pappa. So, because of their love for boxing I picked up a passion and love for it too, and aspired to be the best.
Ringnews24.com: What side of your game have you worked on the most since turning professional?
I would say that I have worked the most on my fitness levels, as well as developing my technique.
Ringnews24.com: Who has been the biggest influence in your career so far?
My dad.
Ringnews24.com: What has been the best piece of boxing advice you have received in your career?
You need to live and breath boxing 24/7 if you want to make it in this industry.
Ringnews24.com: Do you like watching boxing when you’re at home, and if so, which boxers do you like watching most?
Aye, I love watching boxing, watch it as much as I can. I enjoy watching fighters such as Mikkel Kessler and Ricardo Mayorga.
Ringnews24.com: You are currently in the middle of a training camp to prepare for Chris Jenkinson. Could you tell us a little about your camp?
I’m training as much as I possible can, running long distance as well as interval sprinting, circuit training, sparring, bag work and shadow boxing.
Ringnews24.com: Have you saw much footage of Chris Jenkinson and what do you think of him as a fighter?
I haven’t seen any yet, but you can watch as much footage as you like to try get prepared, but it wont make a difference when you are in the ring.

My trainer Sam Mullen and Davy MacInally.
Ringnews24.com: Do you have any short term goals or long term goals that you would like to achieve, and have you set yourself a timescale on your goals?
I would like to win the Lonsdale belt someday before I look for anything else.
