Ringnews24.com: What age did you start boxing and what inspired you to become a fighter?
I was 10-years-old when I first ever went to boxing and I stuck to it for about 5 years. It wasn’t until I was about 18 when I realised I really wanted to become a fighter after my trainer at the time had sent me a text after my first fight with him. He said I had the heart of a lion and have the determination and dedication to go places in this sport.
Ringnews24.com: What was your amateur record and did you win anything as an amateur boxer?
I didn’t have much of an amateur career I just trained for three years then had seven fights before I joined the army at the age of sixteen and continued it there with a further seventeen undefeated fights.
Ringnews24.com: What side of your game have you worked on the most since turning pro professional?
Mostly my footwork because I was a Thai boxer before I came into the professional boxing scene. So changing my footwork was a must and it has came on great.
Ringnews24.com: Asides from boxing What are some of your favorite hobbies or interest that you partake in?
Only other hobbies are really snooker with a mate on a day off. Don’t really have time for hobbies due to training all the time.
Ringnews24.com: Is it tough to go full time and do you have to be more flexible to make a living from the sport?
Yeah it’s difficult coming from work, I train two and three times a day and work part time. But the further I go in boxing the better it will be.
Ringnews24.com: Who is your current trainer and were do you train?
My trainer is Eddie Butcher and I’m training with him and Iain butcher in the Keir Hardy ABC. I’ve learned so much from when I started with Eddie and I know Eddie can get the best out in me to prove what I’m capable of in professional boxing
Ringnews24.com: Who has been the biggest influence in your career so far?
Well that has to be my dad. He’s supported me from the start and told me I could make it pro one day. And here I am making my pro debut.
Ringnews24.com: Do you like watching boxing when you’re at home and if so, which boxers do you like watching most?
Yeah I love watching boxing what boxer doesn’t, The 2 fighters I love watching most are Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr.
Ringnews24.com: Who is your dream opponent you would like to fight at your weight level?
I don’t have a dream opponent, I’ll just take one fight at a time.
Ringnews24.com: What is going on with your boxing career as of now? Can you tell everyone when, where and who against that you will be fighting next?
Well I’m making my pro debut on the 11th of October on Iain Butcher’s undercard. Can’t say who against just yet as it’s not 100% confirmed, but my manager is working on it just now.
This is just the start!! After a few fights and when I get recognised. I promise I will have people saying they can’t wait to see me fight again.
