Boxing Legend and former P4P No.1 Roy Jones Jr., has pulled-out of his December 18th bout, at the Sands Casino in Bethlehem, PA against Bobby “Machine” Gunn.
Bobby Gunn (21-5-1, 18 KOs) will still fight on the card and experienced, former light heavyweight champion Glen Johnson (52-18-2, 36 KOs) is being tipped as the replacement for Jones.
It doesn’t appear to be an injury that has forced Jones out, though no official reason has yet been given. Interestingly, Boxrec.com now have Jones (56-8, 40 KOs) listed as fighting, on a card, at the Dynamo Palace of Sports in Krylatskoye, Moscow, Russia on 21st December, 2013 – only three days after he was meant to fight Gunn.
The Russian card features undefeated prospects Dmitry Chudinov and Sergey Ekimov, on the bill, but no indication of who Roy Jones Jr. is, potentially, fighting.
