Craig Kennedy gets Irish challenge on March 14th in Newport

Undefeated Welsh cruiserweight Craig Kennedy will take on tough Moses Matovu for the British Masters Bronze title, on Friday 14th March at the Newport Centre, South Wales.

Matovu from Banger, Northern Ireland but originally from Uganda, has taken the likes of undefeated Heavyweights Hughie Fury, Gary Cornish and AJ Carter the distance.

A professional since 2004, he has mixed in good company, as a Cruiserweight, having fought China Clarke, Chris Keane, Simon Vallily and Wadi Camacho. The teak tough fighter even held top American contender, Otis Griffin to a draw.

Kennedy vs Matovu will be over 8 rounds and the first time the Cardiff prospect has fought over that distance. Craig ‘The Kid’ Kennedy turned professional in 2013 and impressively won his first seven contests, five by knock-out.
