AJ Carter and Ugandan Champion Kenneth Odeke clash at York Hall

Exciting London Heavyweight AJ Carter has the toughest test of his career when he takes on Ugandan Champion Kenneth Odeke on the Josh

Goodwin promoted “Azonto time” card at York Hall this Saturday night.

Carter 6-0 (4 KO) and Odeke 4-1 (4 KO) are set to clash in a Heavyweight mouth watering clash. Promoter Josh said “It is full credit to AJ for taking this fight. His original opponent pulled out on Wednesday and Odeke was the only option. It is a far tougher fight than ideal at this point of AJ’s career but he would rather take the fight than wait for an easier option in three weeks time.

Odeke won the Ugandan Heavyweight title with a fifth round stoppage in February and sees Carter as his passport to fights with Anthony Joshua and Hughie Fury.

Carter has progressed well under father/trainer Carlton Warren and manager Derek Williams.

With 8 stoppages from 11 fights between them it promises to be xplosive on a night which features two International Masters title fights.

Unbeaten Leytonstone Light-Welterweight Philip “Quicksilver “ Bowes takes on Francis Maina. Ukranian “Stinger” Dmytro Nikulin takes on Jan Balog for the Light-Middleweight strap.

Also featured Is former professional footballer Leon McKenzie who takes on Danny Brown from Essex in his first 6 rounder. “The Sensation” Ben Hall has his second pro fight at Light Middleweight against fellow unbeaten Danny Shannon.

The original top of the bill, Richard Commey v Benjamin Ashley for the commonwealth Lightweight title has been delayed to 7 th June following a delay in the visa approval for Ashley.
