Torquay’s Torryn Pook can’t wait to step back in the ring

Torquay’s Torryn Pook can’t wait to step back in the ring for the first time in two years when he takes on Joe Beedon on EJKO Promotions’ Best of Devon Show next month.

The super featherweight recorded a victory on his professional debut in 2012 but took a break from the sport to set up his own home improvements business.

Now, fully-focused on the sport, the 26 year-old is looking forward to facing Swindon’s Beedon at the Riviera International Centre on Saturday, 21st June.

“I’m really happy to get back in the ring again and it is even better that it’s in my home town,” Pook told www.uko-boxing.com. “I don’t know much about my opponent but he’s a busy fighter and I’m sure it will be a good fight.

“I’m looking at staying busy now and hopefully the shows a success and this is the start of many to come in Torquay.”

Plymouth Cruiserweight, Courtney Richards, tops the bill when he takes on Lee Kellett for a Bronze Masters Cruiserweight Title.

Exeter trio ‘Pretty Boy’ Freddy Kiwitt (welterweight), Faheem Khan (welterweight) and Lewis Browning (lightweight) are all in action as they take on Kevin McCauley, Jamie Ingleby and Sid Razak respectively.

Plymouth light heavyweight, Angelo ‘Concrete’ Crowe, and  Plympton-based Spanish light heavyweight, Christian Hoskin-Gomez, complete the card

Tickets are £30 or £50 Ringside and are available by calling: 07837 920 150. Doors open at the Riviera International Centre at 6.30pm. First bell is 7.30pm.
