The enigma that is Eubank Jr., showed fast hands and hard punching to destroy 32-year-old, Croatian Ivan Jukic in the first round. Fighting at the Phones 4u Arena, Manchester, it was the twelfth inside the distance victory for the Brighton boxer.
Eubank pounded Jukic in the corner, unleashing a frighteningly wicked barrage. The brave but out-gunned Croat made it to his feet and referee Mark Lyson allowed Jukic (19-3, 12 KOs) to continue. Eubank quickly continued the two-handed assault, flooring his opponent again. This time the referee waved off the battered fighter.
Chris has now compiled a 17-0, 12 KOs record and the time is right, for him to mix it with other domestic middleweight rivals.
After the fight, Eubank said he is ready to take on the best domestically in the division, “I’m ready, I’ve always been ready. Now is the time to take-out some of these guys, that have been disrespectful towards me; Billy Joe Saunders, Spike O’Sullivan, Frank Buglioni and also Steve Collins Jr. I’ll fight them, one every month.”
