Quotes from the boxers ahead of ‘The Revival’

UNDEFEATED MIDDLEWEIGHT KHIARY Gray-Pitts (right) of Worcester, Mass., faces his toughest test to date tomorrow night against veteran Greg McCoy of New Haven, Conn., in a four-round bout on the undercard of “The Revival,” presented by CES Boxing at Twin River Casino in Lincoln, R.I. Said Gray-Pitts: “McCoy is a tough challenge, but if he’s fighting me then he’s stepping up to a big challenge, too.”

GREG MCCOY (3-4-1, 1 KO), NEW HAVEN, CONN.

(On facing undefeated Khiary Gray-Pitts): “It won’t be easy for him. There’s so much to gain and nothing to lose for me in this fight. I know he’s a brawler and that’s my kind of fight. I love to go toe-to-toe. I’ve been taught some new tricks that are tailor-made for this kid. This fight is a redemption, a rebirth of ‘Quiet Storm.’ This is business, nothing personal. I want a true knockout in my career highlights. I’m not looking past him, but running through him is my intention. ‘Let’s get ready to rumble’ keeps playing in my head. I’m ready for war.”

KHIARY GRAY-PITTS (5-0, 3 KOs), WORCESTER, MASS.

(On this fight being his toughest test as a pro): “I’m happy to be fighting again at Twin River. McCoy is a tough challenge, but if he’s fighting me then he’s stepping up to a big challenge, too. I’m small, but I’m a big challenge for any fighter. I know he is coming out to fight. He said someone is going ‘night, night.’ I’m not talking trash or nothing, but I’m not going ‘night, night.’ I’m not tired. I’m hungry.”

BRIAM GRANADO (1-0, 1 KO), NEW BEDFORD, MASS.

(On making his Twin River debut against unbeaten Freddy Sanchez): “All I have to say is this is going to be an exciting fight for the fans who will be attending. Freddy’s a good contender. I need to have a clear mind and be ready for anything. I’m not just saying I’m going in for the kill, because things can change. I know what to do. I can tell he’s working hard. At the same time, I’m working hard as well, so it’s going to be an exciting fight. The training is the easy part. The fight is going to be the easier part.”

RAY OLIVEIRA JR. (3-0, 2 KOs), NEW BEDFORD, MASS.

(On facing Luis Felix, who also has experience in mixed martial arts): “I’m excited to fight Luis. There are always boxing versus MMA conversations in the sports world and I’m looking forward to representing boxing on April 3rd. To add to it, we get to fight it out in my step-state, Rhode Island, at one of my favorite places to fight, Twin River.”
