Black Country boxers, Ben Wilkes and Sid Bowater, were on hand to present Pleck ABC with a charity donation on Saturday (11th April)
The duo leant Walsall FC a hand as The Saddlers distributed funds to Pleck ABC and the WFC Community Programme.
Each year, Walsall FC are given a donation to distribute to worthwhile charities via the FA Community Shield. The funds are available to distribute from the general admission and net income of match expenses and profits from the sale of the Matchday Programme. The Saddlers donated £500 to Pleck ABC and £1,500 to the Community Programme.
“It was a pleasure to help out,” said Bowater. “It’s nice to have been invited and, as I prepare for my professional debut, it’s nice to know the amateur stars of tomorrow are receiviung a helping hand.”
Bowater and Wilkes both have fights at Walsall Town Hall on Saturday, 25th April. Tickets are available by calling 0845 111 2900.
