Jason Sosa (18-1, 14 KOs) scored another impressive stoppage over the very tough Jorge Pazos of Sinaloa, Mexico. The Puerto Rican prospect who fights out of Camden, New Jersey has defeated his last thirteen opponents via stoppage and is beginning to climb the rankings in the different boxing organizations in the Super Featherweight division.
Sosa stalked Pazos for six rounds landing punches to the body and connecting with right hands that had his opponent retreating throughout the six rounds. Pazos found success in escaping danger when he fought from the outside, but Sosa’s pressure and effective body punching began to take a toll on the Mexican fighter. In the sixth round, Sosa connected with a devastating left hook to the side of Pazos’ head, forcing him to take a knee.
Pazos did not make an effort to get up before the ten count and was counted out.
