Big-hitting super-middleweight ace Jamie Cox is aiming for a hat-trick of first round knockouts when he takes on Ferenc Albert in the first defence of his WBO European title.

The unbeaten Swindon star headlines the Harrow Leisure Show on Friday 30th October and is riding a two fight KO streak with both fights ending in the first round.

Hitman Cox, 29, aims to dispose of Albert in quick time as he rises up the world rankings and eyes a showdown with WBA king Fedor Chudinov.

Tough Romanian born and Hungary based Ferenc is on a ten-fight unbeaten run and will be looking to inflict the first loss to Cox’s record.

168-pound dangerman Cox has been well avoided by the likes of Chris Eubank Jnr., Gary O’Sullivan, Gilberto Ramirez; former European Champion Christopher Rebrasse, Blake Caparello and Rohan Murdoch.

“It’s the hat-trick of first round KOs I’m after and Ferenc could well go early,” Said Cox.

“I’m in great shape, I’m fighting regularly again and I’m punching hard, I’m in a great place right now so that will show in my performances,”

“Alistair Warren and Blas Miguel Martinez couldn’t handle the power and went down in one, if I set to work on Ferenc early I know he’ll fold,”

“I’ve filled out in the super-middleweight division nicely and this is where I’m going to be staying until I win a world title and then go on to unify belts,”

“There are too many pretenders out there and people who want to dodge fighters, turning down fights, I want to show I’m the real thing.”

A quality packed show features red hot light-heavyweight Tom Baker from Chingford in the chief-supporting contest against Margate’s Jack Morris for the Vacant Southern Area Light-Heavyweight Championship.

Middleweight ace Vijender Singh follows up his explosive pro-debut when he takes on Dean Gillen over four rounds. Singh, the 2008 Olympic Champion, aims to become India’s first ever professional world champion boxer and continues on his road with his second professional contest.

The undercard features a host of top talents: Bushey light-heavyweight Miles Shinkwin, Islington light-middleweight Georgie Kean vs Nottingham’s Nathan Macintosh; West Ham light-middleweight Sam McNess vs Kevin McCauley; Ilford light-heavyweight Anthony Yarde vs Derby’s Elvis Dube; Mitchell Smith’s brother Jez takes on Newark’s Fonz Alexander over four rounds at middleweight; Acton flyweight Prince Patel faces Gateshead Gary Reeve; Chingford lightweight Archie Sharp vs Hereford’s Dean Evans; the professional debut of West Ham light-welterweight Ben Smith and also Sidcup’s light-welterweight D.P Carr who takes on Trowbridge’s Dan Carr.
