Last Saturday night on the huge Team Reps Rise of the Warriors 4 show saw the first title defence of the FCC Heavyweight Title from number two ranked Bare Knuckle Boxer, Billy ‘Bang Bang’ Hawthorn.
Hawthorn who is riding a wave of success in both his Bare Knuckle and gloved fight career, was talking on ex professional boxer Phil Reid in his return to the ring after some time out on the undercard to the eagerly awaited rematch of Michael ‘The Real Deal’ Ferry and ‘Big’ John Lewis.
The first round showed that Hawthorn who is best known for being a banger going for the early knockout really can box as Reid tried him for size showing some good movement and not giving Hawthorn the opportunity to unleash his deviating overhand trademark punches that very often see Billy’s fights ending in the first round.
Early in the second round ‘Bang Bang’ took advantage of an opening by Reid and it was all over, lights out for Reid and another win by Knockout for Hawthorn as he retains his FCC Heavyweight Title belt.
