The winner and Ringnews24 Robbery of the Year: Edner Cherry LSD Jose Pedraza
The IBF World super featherweight title contest took place on 03-10-2015, at the U.S. Bank Arena, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. Two judges George Hill and Scott Maddox badly scored the fight 117-111 to Pedraza. The third judge Larry Hazzard Jr. had 116-112, to Edner Cherry. It appeared to all that the experienced Hazzard was watching the correct fight.
From Wauchula, Florida, USA, Edner Cherry has a 34-7-2, 19 KOs record and had been on an eleven fight unbeaten run. A rematch needs to be ordered, as Edner Cherry should’ve been declared the rightful winner.
