Jarrell ‘Big Baby’ Miller Set For The Sho’

Jarrell ‘Big Baby’ Miller is a twenty-seven year old undefeated boxing prospect who is no stranger to rough combat. The six foot four, Brooklyn-Born Miller, has had a very lengthy kick boxing & Muay Thai career, where he took on the likes of UFC Stars Pat Barry & Mirko Cro Crop. Miller spoke with RingNews24 Boxing Radio recently and attributed those brutal fights for the confidence he has a a boxer. “I have the boxing ability, I have the punching power, I have the heart.” Miller said.

Miller takes on veteran southpaw Donovan Dennis, Friday January 22nd, on ShoBox: The Next Generation. When asked about his opponent, Miller said, “Everybody always come to fight…I’m coming to knock somebody’s head off…I’m coming to shave his head bald.”

When talking about Dennis’ southpaw style, Miller cited his KO success against southpaws and said the key to fighting a southpaw is closing the distance. Miller has been gaining a lot of attention, with a 15-0-1 record, with 13 KO’s, Miller showcases the kind of style that the public wants to see. “I come forward and I break ’em in half”, is how Miller describes his own style to the sweet science. Big Baby is a brash young heavyweight who insists that he has the heart to back up some of his bold statements.

Some of Miller’s boldness came at the expense of other active top heavyweights. He alluded to the idea that Anthony Joshua is benefiting from some kind of performance enhancer, Miller also said nobody knows, or cares, about Deontay Wilder (this was prior to Wilder’s brutal KO of Artur Szpilka). Miller feels the heart of this current crop of heavyweights does not match his. Miller says very few guys in the heavyweight division today have that “animal instinct”, that ‘I will fight anyone anywhere anytime…I will die in the ring’ attitude. Miller said the only two heavyweights today that have this kind of heart, based on his observations, are Steve Cunningham and Amir Mansour.

Miller promises big things in 2016. Donovan Dennis is first up for Big Baby. Miller predicts the southpaw will not go passed three rounds. Miller feels he should be headlining cards after Friday night. “Be a monster every fight” is Big Baby’s philosophy. Miller says he is ready for top ten competition now.
