UBBAD have announced that they will be holding a Bare Knuckle Boxing show in August at ‘The Home of British Boxing’ the world famous venue in Bethnal Green, London, The York Hall!

As many people will know the York hall for many years has always featured in the top 6 best boxing venues worldwide and is world famous for host bouts with some of the worlds biggest name in boxing.

This is also a HUGE step forward for BKB and UBBAD as this is the first ever Bare Knuckle Boxing event that has been allowed to be staged in a venue that is fully approved and sanctioned by The British Board of Boxing Control.

Making the announcement earlier today on social media, UBBAD’s Joe Brown was quoted as saying “Now thats what you call mainstream”. This is a huge leap forward for the sport and one that the team at UBBAD have worked very hard to achieve for some time.

Fighters and fans alike are already very excited to see BKB come to such a prestigious and mainstream boxing venue as London’s York Hall.

Opened in 1929 by the Duke of York this magnificent gem is a veritable blank canvas that opens up endless possibilities to create a truly bespoke event.  With plenty of natural light, warm wooden walls and flooring and an eye catching balcony York Hall offers an endless array of possibilities.

Stepping into this grand neo-Georgian grade II listed building your eyes are immediately drawn to the splendour of the 8 skylight arched windows that form the ceiling and the plethora of original features that make this venue the jewel in East London’s crown.

York Hall offers a range of meeting rooms alongside the large Main Hall, which provides the flexibility to host a variety of events including weddings, fashion shows, Christmas parties, vintage fairs and live events; such as comedy nights, auctions, gigs and music events.

The leisure and Spa facilities offer a relaxing extra to your booking, or a perfect filming location. Originally opening as a Turkish bathhouse, the hall established itself as the home of British boxing, gaining international notoriety and being voted the 6th best place in the world to watch live boxing; making it truly outstanding for Sporting events.

Located only a few minutes walk from both Bethnal Green Tube and National Rail stations; along with links to the A12 and City of London; York Hall has easy transport links to Central and Greater London.
