Over the years we’ve had hundreds of highly exciting fighters, fighters who have helped build loyal fan bases and fighters who have had us on the edge of our seats. One such fighter is Mexican Jorge Arce (64-8-2, 49). Sadly Arce has found himself in some trouble over this past weekend with the 36 year finding himself on the wrong side of the law.
According to numerous Mexican sources the former multi-weight world champion was arrested on February 28th after an incident involving a hotel worker in California.
The sources report that the all-action “Travieso” was arrested following a sexual assault on the hotel worker, with one source reporting that Arce forced the woman to give him oral sex.
The story, which was broken by Martin Plascencia on Social Media, also reports that the Mexican has been bailed, paying $25,000 though did spend several hours in jail before being released.
According to ESPN Arce was in California over the weekend to be part of the Mexican broadcast team for Leo Santa Cruz’s bout with Kiko Martinez. ESPN also report that Telemundo, the Mexican TV giant have also reported the story which looks to be big news in Mexico.
