On April 9th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Manny Pacquiao (57-6-2 , 38KOs) and Timothy Bradley (33-1-1, 13KOs) will step in the ring for a third and final time. The men split the first two contests.
In their first bout, Bradley came away with a very unpopular decision to lift the WBO Welterweight Championship from Pacquiao. Two years later, Pacquiao returned the favor and came away with a clear decision win over Bradley to once again hold the WBO Championship.
The upcoming bout has no titles on the line, but careers might be. Promoter Bob Arum is billing this bout as the Filipino’s last, but Manny Pacquiao still has hope that he can lure Floyd Mayweather out of retirement for a “Super Fight” rematch with another victory over Bradley and the carrot he will dangle over Floyd’s head is a 50-0 record. Although Tim Bradley’s record shows only one defeat, he has been in his share of battles and on the verge of being knocked out on more than one occasion. In the eyes of many, he is damaged goods. A victory in grand fashion over Pacquiao might just give him the credit he seeks at the top of the pound for pound lists. Bradley is coming off his TKO victory over Brandon Rios last November and Pacquiao has been inactive since his loss to Floyd Mayweather in May of 2015.
Las Vegas will be buzzing come April 9th and we will find out if the first ballot Hall of Famer, Manny Pacquiao has one more left in the tank or if Timothy Bradley will put out his fire for good.
Also on the card, WBO Super Middleweight Champion, Arthur Abraham puts his title on the line against Gilberto Ramirez.
The card will be broadcast on HBO Pay-Per -View
