Dereck “Del Boy” Chisora (25-5, 17 KOs) of London, United Kingdom takes on Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev (22-1, 12 KOs). The contest is seen as a crossroads fight, with the winner to be in line for an eventual shot at the IBF title, which is currently held by Anthony Joshua.
There were chaotic scenes at today’s weigh-in in Hamburg ahead of the European title fight between Dereck Chisora and Kubrat Pulev tomorrow night at the Barclaycard Arena.
Chisora weighed in at 109.77 Kg or 241lbs.
Pulev weighed in at 113 kg or 249lbs.
Chisora was hit by a bottle (believed to be by a Bulgarian fan) and then followed scenes reminiscent of the melee with David Haye in Munich (at the Vitali Klitschko vs Chisora post fight press conference) several years ago.
One thing is for sure, an intriguing contest just got hotter.
