Heywood’s own super hero Kieran Farrell hosts his first professional showcase on Friday 24th June for the low price of £20.00 or £40.00 per ticket. Doors open at 1900 for a night that shows a lot of promise and packs a very big punch.
Headlining is the Star of Tomorrow, Nathan ‘The Wire’ Wheatley who puts his 4 fight unbeaten record on the line against the more experienced Liam Griffiths. A masterclass should be on show either way as Griffiths will have to bring his A game to keep up with the exciting Wheatley.
Darryl ‘Razor’ Sharp faces off against William Warburton in a fight that could go either way and have the crowd on the edge of their seats through all 4 rounds. And the big question is can Darryl come up with another perfect 4 rounds as he did against the unbeaten prospect Adam Ishmail who he beat by a clear points decision.
Jake Bulger takes on Kas Hussain in a 4 round Lightweight bout which is another step on the road towards domestic glory amongst a very exciting division. Bulger will need to keep his focus as Hussain will be out to derail the Jakey Train.
Another prospect joins the stable as Callum Pearson makes his debut against Birmingham’s Jason Nesbitt in a 2 minute per round, 6 round bout. Pearsons’ a very exciting one to watch in the gym, and here’s hoping he can replicated that form on the big stage and you could be there to see the start of what will be a glittering career.
Matthew Hatton’s fighter Matty Mainwaring has his second bout against debutant Tommy Carter with both looking to move forward and show a glimpse of the future.
Special guests will be Current Lightweight Champ Anthony Crolla, who’s just signed up for another hard fight against Jorge Linares (not on this card), his trainer and Ring Magazine trainer of the year Joe Gallagher, Sheffield Legend Glyn Rhodes MBE and former Manchester United defender David May. (They could probably do with him back 😉
As an extra special bonus there will be a 45 minute concert at the interval by ‘The Fireflys’ as well. I’m often the first to complain about the cost of Pro Boxing these days (especially if your taking the family) but there’s nothing to complain about here and I for one am making the special trip down from Dorset to be a part of what is certain to be a very bright future for Farrell Promotions and all persons involved.
