Undefeated heavyweight Nick Webb (7-0) made it seven in seven with his sixth KO win against the No.2 ranked heavyweight in the Czech Republic Tomas Mrazek (10-56-6) on Saturday 16th July at the Tolworth Recreation Centre in Surrey.

The 28-year-old from Chertsey crashed his counterpart to the canvas on four occasions en route to the second round stoppage win.

The unbeaten prospect, trained by Scott Welch in his Brighton gym, said of the performance, “I took my time, was patient, and enjoyed it.

“In the first round, I dropped him with a left hook, but they didn’t count it because the ref thought it was a slip. Then I dropped again with a left hook to the body; and then in the second round, I dropped him with an uppercut and then again with the body shot, and the ref stopped it.

“He threw a few shots but he never troubled me.”

Webb now boasts six stoppages from seven wins. The former ABA Elite finalist finished all of his first five opponents in the opening round, adding up to less than six minutes of ring-time.

Prior to this bout, his latest victory on the undercard of Haye Day II saw the 28-year-old taken the distance for the first time, winning 40-36 on points against Hari Miles (10-9) at The O2 on May 21st, live on freeview channel Dave.

“It was a good fight,” said Wild Webb of his only points win. “I’m a work-in-progress and still coming through.

“I got the experience in and I don’t think many up and coming fighters would fight someone like him.”

Miles, a 6ft 4” Welshman, shared the ring with interim WBA World cruiserweight champion Youri Musafu Kalenga prior to his bout with Webb.

He said of his plans for the remainder of the year, “My main goal is to reach 10-0 by the end of this year, a Southern Area title fight could be on the cards at the end of this year, I don’t see why not. Hopefully, keep winning and then the English title this time next year.”

Webb finished by praising his fans, “Thank you for the support, we’re gonna’ get there together. Thank you to my trainer Scott Welch, my sponsors and main sponsor The Dudman Group.”

Stablemate Nicky Jenman (16-8-1), 30-years-old, moved up to 16 wins with a points triumph over Czech Republic’s Jan Balog (10-30-1), who was floored in round three.

The current Southern Area middleweight champion from Brighton defends his title against unbeaten Grant Dennis from Kent next.
