Cyclone Promotions are pleased to announce that Belfast’s Celtic welterweight champion Paddy Gallagher will box Reading’s undefeated contender Tamuka Mucha in an eliminator for the BBBofC British welterweight title on the undercard of George Groves vs Eduard Gutknecht at the SSE Arena, Wembley on Friday November 18, sponsored by Maxi-Nutrition.

TICKETS FOR THIS FANTASTIC EVENING OF CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING ARE ON SALE NOW AND ARE PRICED AT £40, £60, £100 + HANDLING FEES, AVAILABLE FROM AXS.COM, SSEARENA.CO.UK AND TICKETMASTER.CO.UK. VIP TICKETS FROM £250 ARE AVAILABLE FROM CYCLONEPROMOTIONS.COM.

Belfast’s talented Paddy Gallagher, 10 (6) – 2, is a former Commonwealth Games gold medallist who is currently in the best form of his life. Last time out Gallagher beat Wales’ previously undefeated Tony Dixon by way of a devastating first-round stoppage on the undercard of Lee Haskins’ IBF bantamweight title defence against Ivan Morales in May at Cardiff’s Ice Arena Wales.

The likeable Gallagher has been rebuilding his pro career since a disappointing Prize Fighter display in April 2014. Five straight victories have seen ‘Pat-Man’ collect the BBBofC Celtic strap and a top 5 British ranking.

Reading’s undefeated Tamuka ‘The Beast’ Mucha has slowly but surely built his way up to this British welterweight eliminator. Originally from Harare in Zimbabwe, the twenty- three year old Mucha has amassed an impressive 15 (4) – 0 professional record since turning pro in 2012. The Chris Sanigar trained prospect is a former Southern Area welterweight champion who holds a credible sixth-round stoppage win over former English super welterweight champ Erick Ochieng.

This exciting BBBofC British welterweight title eliminator forms part of the undercard to George Groves vs Eduard Gutknecht at the SSE Arena, Wembley on Friday November 18. Gallagher vs Mucha will be televised live and exclusively on Spike.

PADDY GALLAGHER QUOTE: “It’s great to be back boxing on Spike. I had a great response after my last fight on the channel and on November 18 I’m going to deliver another big win for the viewers. I’m over the moon to be boxing on another big Cyclone show and to be on such a big bill at the SSE Arena, Wembley.

“Tamuka Mucha is a good fighter but he’s not on my level. They call him ‘The Beast’, but as Mike Tyson once said, ‘Everybody wants to be a beast until it’s time to do what beasts do’. We’re going to find out if Tamuka Mucha really is a beast on November 18!”

TAMUKA MUCHA QUOTE: “This is the big opportunity I’ve been waiting for. I was ringside to see Paddy Gallagher stop my stablemate and sparring partner Tony Dixon back in May, Paddy’s a good fighter.

“My preparation is going well, I’ve had quality sparring with Josh Taylor and Ahmet Patterson and I can’t wait to steal the show at the SSE Arena, Wembley on November 18.”

BARRY MCGUIGAN QUOTE: “Paddy Gallagher vs Tamuka Mucha is going to be a barnstorming fight. Neither of these guys likes to take a step back, both have all-action styles and both men believe they are going to win. I believe this could be fight of the night on November 18.

“The undercard for George Groves vs Eduard Gutknecht at the SSE Arena, Wembley on November 18 now features two top level title fights as well as this cracking British welterweight title eliminator. It promises to be an outstanding evening of world class professional boxing.”

JOHN BREEN QUOTE: “I’m delighted that Paddy has got this opportunity to box on such a big bill at the SSE Arena, Wembley. Tamuka Mucha is a quality fighter and this looks like being a cracking fight for the fans in the arena and those watching at home on Spike.”

CHRIS SANIGAR QUOTE: “I’ve had high hopes for Tamuka ever since I watched him win an ABA title as a teenager. His apprenticeship is now over and with 15 wins under his belt I believe he’s ready to take that next step up towards a British title.”

Doors will open at 5pm at the SSE Arena, Wembley on Friday November 18, with boxing starting at 5.30pm.

TICKETS FOR GROVES vs GUTKNECHT ARE ON SALE NOW AND ARE PRICED AT £40, £60, £100 + HANDLING FEES, AVAILABLE FROM AXS.COM, SSEARENA.CO.UK AND TICKETMASTER.CO.UK.
