European promotional powerhouse Team Sauerland have agreed a new long term television deal with the Pro7Sat1 Network in Germany. The agreement will see a minimum of 12 shows per annum for a period spanning up to three years.

Freddy Ness, Managing Director of Team Sauerland’s German operations stated: ‘’We’ve been working hard developing new talents in German boxing. This year, we saw amateur world champion Jack Culcay win the WBA Light Middleweight Championship, and this weekend, 24 year-old Tyron Zeuge challenges for the WBA Super Middleweight title. Next year, this deal will give the youngsters a massive platform and keep the momentum going in the search for new stars whilst also giving established names such as Juergen Braehmer and Arthur Abraham the chance to win back their World titles.’’

Team Sauerland have also expanded their wings over the last decade to promote over ten shows a year with their long term Scandinavian television partner Viasat. In the United Kingdom they have signed marquee names such as George Groves, David Price, Derek Chisora and Anthony Ogogo, and signed a partnership with Eddie Hearn and Matchroom.

Team Sauerland was founded by International Hall of Fame promoter Wilfried Sauerland in Africa in the late 1970’s, it currently manages and promotes more than 40 fighters from more than 10 countries. In 2016, Team Sauerland promoted a total of 24 television events in 7 different countries.
