Ohara Davies is looking to make quick work of Christopher Sebire this Saturday before taking on Josh Leather on June 23.
With one eye on the winner of Hooker-Flanagan, Davies revealed he would be willing to fight Flanagan, should he win his two upcoming fights.
If the money is right, Davies would step in the ring to face the Manchester fighter.
He told Ringnews24.com:
“I don’t think Flanagan really sells; I don’t think he brings in a lot of numbers. If the money’s right that fight could happen.”
Davies shared his fight prediction.
“Terry Flanagan is going to win this fight, I believe he will. I sparred with, Maurice Hooker a few years ago at Floyd’s gym in Vegas. I think Hooker stands a chance but I don’t think he wins the fight. I think Terry Flanagan beats him quite easily. “
Davies believes he is ready for a world title shot and one could happen before the end of the year or the start of 2019.
“Late this year, early next year [world title shot]. Not right now as I’ve been out the ring for so long. I need to get back out and have a few fights first.”
Davies had no preferred champion or route in mind.
“It doesn’t really matter what route I go down as long as I get there. I don’t really think about what’s the easiest route. I think about, I can beat any of these guys. I believe I can be the best, so it doesn’t matter who I face, they’re all the same.”
