As everybody knows that the WBC World Bantamweight title has been vacating for almost 1 year. After Luis “Pantera” Nery was stripped this belt when he failed to make weight on February 28 before got TKO2 won over “Left of God” Shinsuke Yamanaka in the rematch fight on March 1 in Japan, and the belt has no owner until now.

Originally World Boxing Council ordered No.1 contender from France Nordine Oubaali to fight against Tasana Salapat, aka, Petch CPF (CP Freshmart) No.2 contender from Thailand for vacant WBC World Bantamweight title, and RingStar France was scheduled this fight on June 23. But less than a month before that it was canceled and might be from TV problem.

Everything seem to be quieted for many months but lately World Boxing Council re-ordered again for this division. Oubaali has to fight againt the US fighter and No.3 contender, Rau’shee Warren, who is the former WBA Bantamweight Super World king for this vacant title and then the winner would make his first defending fight with Petch. But almost same time WBC ordered the Eliminator fight in this division between the Japanese fighter, Takuma Inoue, and the Filipino, Mark John Yap. After Inoue could get the ticket from that fight and emerged to No.4 but he should waited for many months for world title fight.

Because Oubaali and Warren could not signed contract easily therefore WBC has been ordered Petch and Takuma fight for the vacant Interim tile of this division around 2 months ago and it will be one of triple world title fights in Japan on December 30. But after Luis Nery came back to captured WBC Silver belt in this division and got winning in his title defending fight, he was replaced in No.4 and Inoue was down to No.5.

Lately Oubaali and Warren could reach agreement to fight for vacant World title it was added to the schedule on December 22 in the US. But it was moved to next January 19 as the under card fight of Manny Paquiao and Adrian Broners. If we know who are new WBC World and Interim Bantamweight champions we hope they should be make the WBC Unification fight in the near future.
