Important Announcement Regarding February 8th Boxing Show

Bash Boxing

Dear Fans:

Before getting into the details of WHY, we want to let you know that the February 8th boxing show at Sportsmen’s Lodge in Studio City must be rescheduled to:

Saturday, February 16, 2018 • 7:00pm

Florentine Gardens Hollywood
5951 Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood, CA 90028

If you have already purchased tickets to the 2/8 event, please know the following:

1) We will be using the same seating chart for the new date and venue.
2) If you have already purchased tickets to the 2/8 event , your tickets will be honored at the door in the exact same location.
3) If you have ordered tickets online and would like a full refund, please email [email protected] and a refund will be issued.
4) If you have purchased tickets from a boxer or a member of his team and would like a refund, please contact the individual who you purchased tickets from and your tickets will be refunded.

The sole reason for the postponement of the 2/8 show to 2/16 in Hollywood is the following:

Sportsmen’s Lodge had what they described in writing to as a “small kitchen fire in the smaller kitchen” on January 15, 2018. When I asked about the fire the following day via email, the Sales Manager at Sportsmen’s Lodge responded that they “are fixing it as we speak” and their website said that they should be back up and running shortly. Two weeks went by and when they did not respond to requests for updates, we pressed them for answers.

3 days ago, the Sales Manager at Sportsmen’s Lodge emailed that she unfortunately had no answers for and the situation was making all of them crazy and they are trying to help get some answers. She also mentioned that that the venue was trying to “get power approved, sprinkler system approved, fire Marshall, and health department in order to have guests/food/bar.”

2 days ago, the Director of Operations at Sportsmen’s Lodge emailed that the Sales Manager had resigned as of that morning and that the approvals and repairs that they need to do to reopen the venue may take “a few days or weeks” and the situation appeared to be in the hands of “Corporate” and an insurance adjuster.

After 20+ years of being a consumer personal injury attorney and dealing with delay tactics of insurance adjusters and other “Corporate” owners, I realized the venue was not going to be back in business when they said they would and the show was in jeopardy. We tried to work on some alternative situations with the Director of Operations but there were no viable options that would have worked.

For the past 24 hours, I have used every connection I had to contact every possible venue in the local area that could possibly house this show on the same date but there were no options available. We were able to do the event the following evening but, understandably, the California State Athletic Commission already had several shows on February 9th and could not add the show on this date. The Commission has been kind and accommodating enough to allow us to have the event on February 16th although they are busy on this evening with other shows as well.

So after 10+ years and 80+ show that have never been postponed or cancelled no matter the circumstances, we unfortunately have to postpone the February 8th show in Studio City to February 16th in Hollywood.

We want to assure our loyal fans that this situation was completely out of our control and had we known about the true nature of the problems at Sportsmens Lodge earlier, we would have been able to respond earlier.

I personally apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused to you but I assure you that this show on Ferbuary 16th in Hollywood is going to be even bigger and better!

Hope to see you at:
