Barrios will be on hand to take photos with the kids, while spending time interacting with their families.

“The Boys and Girls Club of San Antonio is a place where I spent a lot of time as a kid and it brings me great joy to give back to my community,” said Barrios. “Shoe Palace is the number one shoe store in San Antonio, and they have supported me during my journey to becoming a world champion. I always said if I bring home a world title, I will to give back to the Boys and Girls Club, an organization that has helped saved so many kids from gangs and drugs. I’m grateful and appreciate the support Shoe Palace has giving me and this event is going to be wonderful. I can’t wait to see the smiles on all the kids faces.”

“We at Shoe Palace believe in building a strong community with all our surrounding stores, and what better way to do it then with WBA World champion Mario Barrios in his hometown of San Antonio with the Boys and Girls Club,” said Shoe Palace Owner and Senior Vice President John Mersho. “Barrios, being a positive role model, is someone we’ve supported throughout his triumphant journey to a world championship, and its our honor to join him in his quest to give back to his community.”
